Cuttlefish, also known as cuttlefish or squids, are Marine mollusks belonging to the class Cephalopod. In the Marine biology community, cuttlefish has attracted much attention because of its unique morphology and biological characteristics, especially in the field of scientific research and education, and its specimens are more important objects of study and research.

The cuttlefish's body structure is very unique, with a streamlined body and touch arm, through fast swimming in the sea freely shuttle. They typically have eight short arms and two longer arms, which allow them to catch prey quickly. The cuttlefish's skin is rich in pigment cells, which can quickly change color according to environmental changes to adapt to the surrounding environment or camouflage, which makes the cuttlefish have a strong survival ability in nature.

In the preparation of specimens, cuttlefish is relatively complicated due to its soft tissue structure. It usually needs to be properly fixed and dehydrated to preserve its morphological characteristics. Through professional specimen treatment, researchers can obtain complete cuttlefish specimens for appreciation and research. The preservation of the specimen not only allows people to visually observe the shape and structural characteristics of the cuttlefish, but also serves as educational materials to help students and enthusiasts gain an in-depth understanding of this unique creature.

The use of cuttlefish specimens has also extended to the field of ecological research and biodiversity conservation. By studying cuttlefish and their habitats, scientists can better understand the animals' role in Marine ecosystems and how they interact with other organisms. Under the influence of global climate change and Marine pollution, the survival of cuttlefish is facing challenges. Through scientific specimen research, it is helpful to effectively monitor its population changes and the health of the ecological environment.
