Sea urchins, belonging to the phylum echinoderm, are unique creatures that live on the sea floor and are usually spherical or disk-shaped in appearance, covered with a hard calcareous shell covered with sharp spines. Sea urchins come in a variety of forms and colors, from deep purple, dark green to bright yellow, which vary from species to species, making them particularly attractive in the ocean world.

The internal structure of sea urchins is also worth mentioning. They do not have a brain or a heart, but have a complex nervous system and a powerful digestive system. The mouth of the sea urchin is located at the bottom, in the shape of a five-pointed star, surrounded by unique chewing organs, known as the "sea urchin mouth". This structure allows them to feed on algae, mosses and microscopic Marine life, demonstrating their important role in the food chain in the ecosystem.

During the taxidermy process, the urchin's shell is carefully treated to maintain its original color and shape. First, fresh sea urchins are washed to remove the internal soft tissue to avoid decay and odor. It is then placed in a diluted acetic acid solution to remove dirt and sediment from the calcareous shell, and finally dried and finished. After these procedures, the specimen of sea urchin can not only perfectly preserve its form, but also become a work of art showing the beauty of nature.

In the field of education and research, sea urchin specimens are widely used in the study of biology and ecology. They help students and researchers better understand the ecology, habits and interactions of Marine life with the environment. At the same time, sea urchins are often used in folk art and handicrafts, and the unique shape of sea urchin shells is often used as decorations and is loved by people.
